Is a qualified teacher with a BEd. in Outdoor Education, which he gained at John Moores University, Liverpool. He has been actively involved in outdoor education since his teens and holds extensive qualifications in climbing, kayaking, First Aid, sailing and orienteering. His spare time is spent enjoying all things outdoors with his wife and friends.
Is an experienced and qualified teacher, climber, paddler, sailor & environmentalist. He has a degree in environmental studies & holds his MIC, BCU L3 inland & sea, and he is an RYA dinghy instructor. Chris spends his spare time in the mountains, socialising, & with his wife & daughter.
Is a qualified teacher holding an Honours Degree in PE and Sports Science. She has been involved in outdoor education for many years and brings a wealth of experience to the team. Annie is a RYA Senior Instructor/Coach Assessor and holds a variety of other awards in canoeing, kayaking and mountaineering.Her spare time is spent on the water, in the hills, socialising with friends, & with her partner & young children.
Has been involved in outdoor education since 1994, during which time he has gained a great deal of experience in both personal and instructional roles. He is a Level 4 Kayak Coach, a RYA Coach Assessor, SPA and ML holder and an RYA Power Boat Instructor. His spare time is spent running rivers, sailing & developing his kite surfing skills.
Has worked as a freelance tutor in a number of outdoor centres over the years, where he has gained a vast amount of experience. He is an MIA, BCU L2 coach, Mountain Bike Instructor and an RYA Dinghy Instructor. Most of his spare time is currently spent competing in various road races and time trials.
Has worked in a variety of outdoor centres in the Lake District since 2000. She is a keen & active sailor, kayaker & kite surfer. In addition she is an accomplished horse woman. She holds her RYA Senior Instructor, BCU L2 canoe & kayak coach, ML & SPA.
Sarah has been involved in the outdoors since 2003. She holds her summer ML, SPA, RYA Senior Instructor & BCU L3 kayak & L2 canoe award. Sarah spends her spare time walking, kayaking, canoeing & sailing with her husband & young son. She is currently working her way through the Munros.
Has worked as a freelance tutor for a number of years and many years ago was an apprentice tutor here. He now holds a wide range of qualifications including RYA Senior Instructor, RYA Power Boat Instructor, MIA and BCU level 3 canoe and kayak coach. Whenever he is not working he will be found juggling his time between his young family and various canoe or mountaineering trips.
Joined us in January 2010. He is a Geography graduate. Alex is a keen & accomplished windsurfer and kitesurfer. He holds his RYA dinghy instructor award & has previously taught sailing & windsurfing. Alex is now an Advanced Dinghy Instructor & Senior Instructor, and a Start windsurfing Instructor level 1. In addition he also holds his ML & SPA.
April completed her BA Hons in PE and School Sport in 2015. She joined us in January 2016 and already has experience working in other outdoor education centres. She is a keen climber & paddler
Martin joined us in January 2017 . He had been a volunteer at Bendrigg Trust since 1997 and has been a trainee there for the last year. Prior to his trainee ship he has done part time & voluntary work with various young peoples groups. Martin is very keen on all things involving water.
Rhod joined us in January 2017 as a trainee tutor. Before coming here he was a trainee at Bendrigg. In his spare time he loves to travel to different corners of the world.
Jenny has been with Water Park since we started and has a vast knowledge of the centre. She runs the office & the domestic side of the centre. She deals with all invoices and is generally the voice at the end of the phone. Jenny and her husband run a sheep farm just down the road from the centre.
Kaileigh joined us as Head Housekeeper in October 2016. She is responsible for maintaining the high standards of cleanliness you have come to expect. She also organises the rest of the housekeeping team. In her spare time Kaileigh and her two collies can often be seen paddling a kayak.
Joined us in July 2015. Anne is semi retired. Most of her spare time is spent walking & showing her Malamuta dogs, such as Frankee here.
Joined us in January 2016. Before having a family she was an outdoor education tutor. Kara still spends her spare time in the outdoors and is involved in delivering Forest Schools courses.
Fiona joined us in October 2016 as a housekeeper for twelve months maternity cover. Before coming here she was a kitchen assistant at a local school. She has a young family and is also a keen open water swimmer.
Joined us in September 2009 after working in local care homes. She is one of the team responsible for maintaining the high standards of cleanliness you have come to expect here. Emma is currently on maternity leave until July 2017.
Jackie’s food always gains massive compliments from clients. Before joining us she worked for a cheffing agency and prior to this ran her own successful hotel business in a village near Water Park. Prior to this was a senior flight attendant on aircraft. Baking is Jackie’s speciality.
Has been with us for many years as our housekeeper & relief chef. She has now moved to the second chef position & brings a great deal of high quality cheffing experience having cooked for several of the local landed gentry. Jane spends most of her spare time riding & showing her horses.
Kate joined us in November 2016 as the third member of our chef team. Kate works here two days a week and runs a dog grooming business on the other days. She has a young family who all enjoy spending time in the great outdoors.
Has been with the Eric Wright Group for many years. He is now based at the centre and keeps everything functioning and the grounds looking neat and tidy. Jimmy is a keen gardener himself & grows a fine array of vegetables.
