Here at Water Park we are always striving to move our courses forward and initiate new developments. All courses are staffed by experienced and qualified instructors.Courses are open to anyone who fulfills the requirements laid down by the relevant Governing Body prior to attending a training or assessment course. All courses require a minimum number of people to make them viable to run. Prices include VAT, accommodation, food, equipment and instruction. As with other courses at Water Park, we are able to offer financial contributions to young people who you feel would benefit from such a course, but who cannot afford the full fee. In addition we are able to access funding for certain courses from the following organisation: Do you want to Get Qualified? If you’re over 19, working in sport or outdoor pursuits in the North West, you may qualify for up to £300 towards fees for a variety of outdoor and sports qualifications. BRITISH CANOE UNION Courses
Coaching Scheme Kayak/Canoe
BCU operates a comprehensive Coaching programme. it is designed to ensure that coaches and participants are fully and properly prepared to take part in the sport and that coaches are qualified to instruct participants in all aspects of technique, safety and understanding.
Canoe/Kayak 1-3 star
Administered by the BCU these awards are a test of personal canoeing/kayaking ability. They are a useful proof of ability if you are considering moving into the coaching scheme. Courses are run by arrangement.
MLTE Courses
Mountain Leader Summer award
Administered by the MLTUK, this award is for walkers who wish to lead and supervise individuals and groups in the British hills in summer conditions.
You must be registered with the MLTE before attending a training or assessment course.

Instructor-dinghy sailing Organised by the NW Region of the RYA, this award is for those who wish to lead dinghy sailing sessions on inland waters. This is the recognised award for instructing in sailing schools and clubs. Course: 16th - 20th August 2010 £320 residential
