Here at Water Park we are always striving to move our courses forward and initiate new developments. In addition to our multi discipline 5 day and weekend courses we are now pleased to offer a range of specialist courses and mini-expeditions.
All courses are staffed by experienced and qualified instructors. Courses are open to any individuals or groups over the age of 14. We are particularly keen to see young people seizing these opportunities.
All courses require a minimum number of people to make them viable to run. Prices include VAT, equipment and instruction. As with other courses at Water Park, we are able to offer financial contributions to young people who you feel would benefit from such a course, but who cannot afford the full fee.

Climbing & Mountaineering |

The Lakeland fells are a climbers & walkers paradise. Within 15 minutes drive of Water Park we can be on the Coniston Fells & crags, and within 30 minutes on the Langdale Fells & crags.
The following courses will give you a sound introduction to rock climbing or hill walking & will set you on the way to being an independent climber or walker.
Multi Pitch Rock Climbing
An opportunity to climb on some of the famous Lake District crag's. You will be taught some basic ropework & then led up suitable climbs. Routes such as Napes Needle, Bow Fell Buttress, Murrays Route are well within most beginners grasp. We are also able to offer courses to teach you how to lead climbs yourself. Roger & Chris are both Mountain Instructors with 40 years experience between them.

Mountain Walking Skills
A course for those that have a love of walking and would like to learn skills in order to become more independent in the mountains. All of the staff are committed hill walkers with British, European & Greater Ranges experience. These courses are not just guided walks but are designed to make you a confident, independant hill-walker.

Rainy days are generally not very inspiring. However, once you have become a white water paddler your attitude to rainy days will change forever.
For those who have paddled a kayak or canoe before this is an opportunity to try something more adventurous. Come & learn how to paddle on white water in a canoe or kayak. All equipment & instruction provided. All you provide is the enthusiasm. Roger & Garry are both very experienced & active BCU white water canoe & kayak coaches. An exciting & informative time is guaranteed.

If you have ever felt inspired to try sailing or windsurfing the following courses could help you develop a new lifelong passion.
This is a course for those that have tried sailing before & want to reach a level where you can sail unsupervised in most conditions. We have an up to date range of single & double handers. Garry and Annie are both RYA coaches with years of leisure & competition sailing between them. Whether you are a novice or experienced sailor we can improve your technique dramatically.
Rosie & Alex are Start windsurfing coaches & have a vast range of experience from around the world. Whether you are a novice or an intermediate looking to improve, they will run a developmental session to meet your needs.
Courses are run on an on demand basis & require a minimum of two people. Please contact us for details
