Dinghy Instructor award Organised by the NW Region of the RYA, this award is for those who wish to lead dinghy sailing sessions on inland waters. This is the recognised award for instructing in sailing schools and clubs.

Advanced Instructor Training course
 This is a specially designed two day course to prepare you for the Advanced Instructor course. There is no formal requirement to attend a training course prior to attending an Advanced Instructor course, but this could provide you with or develop the skills you need.

Pre-entry assessment half day
 Before undertaking a Dinghy Instructor award you must have passed a pre-entry assessment. These half day sessions, run on demand allow you to demonstrate that you have the necessary skill level to be able to benefit from & contribute to, the Dinghy Instructor course.

Power boat level 2 course This 2 day course is essentially your driving licence for the water. The course covers high speed handling, low speed manoeuveres & man over board recovery. The high speed element is delivered in Walney Channel, although this is NOT a coastally endorsed award.

Safety boat course This 2 day course is for those who want to drive a safety boat for a club or RYA training centre. The course covers safe rescue of sailing crews, winsurfers & canoes. You must already hold the powerboat level 2 award before undertaking this course.
