Catering Arrangements

We are pleased to be able to cater for most dietary requirements, but please note that we do require prior notice.
An important part of the Water Park philosophy is that groups eat together and take some responsibility for domestic arrangements.  With this in mind, students will be expected to lay the tables, serve their groups food, clear tables at the end of the meal and do the washing up.  Individuals are expected to make their own packed lunches each morning - constituent parts are provided by Water Park.

Meal times are generally:            Breakfast 08:00               Dinner 17:30
Breakfast includes juice, cereal & toast, and can include a cooked breakfast on a limited number of days of your choice.

Menu choices for schools and youth groups are available by clicking on the 'menu choices' link on the left. Please select the meals your group require for the duration of their stay at Water Park and Email or fax it back to us before your visit.

Please note, we no longer provide biscuits at supper time and we no longer have juice machines in the brew room.  You may wish to consider bringing your own biscuits & juice.

Evening Sessions

We are available to run evening sessions on three of the evenings of your stay.  When Water Park staff are unavailable, we will provide low technology activities for yourselves to use with your groups, if you so wish.

Resources

We have a comprehensive kit store which can provide each student with a set of waterproofs, boots, hat, gloves, rucsac, and pile jacket.  Specialist equipment for each activity is handed out prior to the session.  A suggested kit list for individuals is attached.
Each student will need a separate pair of indoor shoes (with non marking soles), or preferably slippers, for their stay at Water Park.  We have a stock of our own indoor shoes specifically for this purpose if your students are unable to provide their own.
A TV, video and music centre are available for group use at the discretion of visiting staff.
There is a payphone on site, but we have limited quantities of change available.  You will need to think very carefully about whether you allow your students to use the phone during your visit.  Ask Water Park staff if you need advice. We strongly recommend that group leaders do not allow young people to bring mobile telephones.

Tuckshop

There is a tuck shop on site - can be open every evening - which sells sweets, drinks and mementoes.  We give you the keys and allow you to run it when and if you like - 1900 is the most popular time.

Transport

We have two 17 seater minibuses on site for your group as part of your programme.

Medical Information

Prior to your visit, please gather all medical information on your group and also visiting staff.  In particular we need to know of any health problems, allergies, medications, emergency contacts and telephone numbers and any other information you feel may be relevant and/or helpful.

Medical forms can be downloaded from the 'Documents Download' area , or please use your own if you prefer.

Alcohol

Our premises are licensed and our prices are very reasonable.  The bar can be made available to visiting staff.  You must not bring your own alcohol onto our premises.

Expectations of Visiting Staff

Our expectation is that you will be responsible for the pastoral care of your group members during your stay.  Generally we will be responsible for the safety of your group during activity sessions.  Visiting staff who are suitably experienced and/or qualified may choose to lead some activities, subject to prior discussion and agreement with Water Park staff.
